Terms of Use
Last updated October 16, 2026
These terms cover your use of uqaala.com ("uqaala", "we", "us"). By using the site or registering a page, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use uqaala.
1. The service
uqaala gives US and Canadian phone numbers a public page at uqaala.com/ followed by the number. The service is currently free. We may add paid features later; we'll tell you before anything you use starts to cost money.
2. Registering a number
- You may only register a number you control and are allowed to use: your own, or your organization's if you're authorized to act for it.
- You register by texting from the number, or ask us to set up your page by texting ONBOARD from it. We then build the page from your public business listing or website; you're still responsible for it and can change or delete it once you sign in. You sign in by text, or with a code sent to your owner email if you added one. Your carrier's normal messaging rates apply.
- You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
- You're responsible for what happens on your page and for keeping control of your phone and your email. Tell us if you think someone else has access to your page.
- If you give up or lose your number, its new holder can ask to reset the page. You'll be warned by email (if you added one) and have 7 days to sign in and cancel.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you put on your page. You give us permission to host, display, copy and format it to run the service, including in contact cards, QR codes, downloadable images and on linked pages. Your page is public: anyone can view, save and share it, and search engines may index it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use uqaala to:
- impersonate someone, or mislead people about who you are or what you offer;
- publish anything illegal, fraudulent, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent;
- share another person's private information without their consent;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- link to malware, phishing or scams, or send spam;
- link numbers that don't belong to the same person or organization;
- scrape the site, register numbers in bulk, overload the service or get around its limits and security.
5. Our rights
We may remove content, unlink numbers, or suspend or delete a page that breaks these terms or the law, or that we reasonably believe puts people at risk. We may change or stop parts of the service. We'll try to give notice of major changes where we can.
6. Ending your use
You can delete your page at any time from your page editor. If you can no longer sign in, for example because you lost your number, you can request deletion by email. What happens to your information afterwards is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Links to other sites
Pages link to websites and apps we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.
8. Disclaimers
uqaala is provided "as is" and "as available". We confirm that a page's owner controlled its phone number when they registered and signed in; we don't confirm anyone's identity or the accuracy of what they publish. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, uqaala isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, if any. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
10. Indemnity
If your content or your use of uqaala breaks these terms or the law and leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change is significant, we'll say so on the site or by email. Continuing to use uqaala after a change means you accept it.
13. Contact
Email contact@uqaala.com, including to report a page that breaks these terms.
